travisloerzelccp unit 13 ch.3

In the unit 13 ch. 3 article three main points of this article are for one how different families on different sides of the world are changing rapidly in what they consider to be a family. like in some areas of Europe places that were more extended families are turning into nuclear families. there are also many changes universally throughout the planet of the classic mother father son and daughter sort of families due to single mothers, single fathers, unmarried, remarried, and same sex marriage etc. Another main point to this article being  how families change in how they function, treat and view one another in a family. Another strong point in this article are issues related to family change in different cultures. For instance, reason for separation, and  at what age children leave home. Or decide who all is considered to be in the family circle.

travisloerzelccp unit6 ch.4

unit 6. ch.4s articles three points, first is how same words referring to relationships can have entirely different meanings and how different cultures have either the same or different views on relationships through there cultures. An example of a word would be promiscuity cultures in eastern and western Europe had completely different views on the meaning of that word as cultures in eastern Asia and Oceania. to the Europeans having quick meaning less sex every so often does not quite make you promiscuous.third  point of this article being why these words mean different things between these different cultures? well it be just like like  most other things are different between cultures other parts of the world are going to have other ways of thinking and processing information.

Travis loerzel~march 21~wally funk~ccp

well the question being for this weeks blog is three things learned from the article, now i am a little confused on whether it’s three facts learned about wally`s life or three things that one could take away from the incredible story of Wally funks`like time on this planet. But this being a cross cultural psychology class I’m going to assume that its three things learned throughthe story of wally funk.  something that i would take away from this article would half to be that it is extraordinary the things in a human can do with its brain as far as overcoming against the odds, her being a woman in those periods of time and rising to the top over most sometimes all men. society during those times was not exactly geared towards women. wally funk was born no different than any other human, no super powers no special gifts and she just applied her self and persevered coming out on top. that would be another thing that i would take away from this article is that any thing that i would or any other human being with a capable mind could almost literally do ANYTHING i or we wanted to do if we just use are brain to the highest possible  level. the list in which the things wally accomplished and headed in the aeronautics field seems almost impossible to complete in ones life. spanning from pioneering in women’s aviation and aeronautic safety in the 50s to the 70s. to reaching her dream of space travel. also i took away  that it is never to late to expand your education. wally continually was broadening her intellectual horizons. first rising to the top of her class in multiple aeronautic programs and getting her associates of arts degree, then getting her bachalors of science in secondary education degree.

travis l. 1st blog.

One main point of this article was how diffrent cultures compare to one another and how they are diffrent and the ways in which they over lap on one another.

A secound main point to this article is how diffrent cultures view the same thing for exmple a single word to an act such as marriage.  Or even how the same culture can view somthing and if its the same or diffrent.

Also another point which this article is portraying is how to study human beings and how they act alone, towards one another, and how they are influenced with what they have been brought up around and what is currenly around them.
